University School Website Redesign
University School, an independent all-boys school, grades K–12, engaged DDP to redesign its website presence. We designed the site to be both respectful of the institution’s 115+ year past, yet modern and engaging to current and prospective parents and students, as well as alumni and the public in general.
The website was specifically built to visually and structurally tie together the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools for the first time, both in spirit and in information gathering/sharing and general management (the school is situated across two campuses in two cities—Lower/Middle and Upper, thus making a unified website ever more important). The site includes improved usability/functionality, data-driven page content and an extensive web browser-based content management system (CMS). Specific features include poignent messaging and engaging full-color and black-and-white imagery via a Flash-based module that rotates a collage of imagery over time. Presentation of Upcoming Events and Recent News links on the homepage, as well as direct link access to portals of content specifically tailored to various constituencies (Students, Parents, Faculty, Alumni, and Board of Trustees) round out this robust website upgrade.
