Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Website Redesign

As the premier organization for high-quality research and educational innovation in emergency care, the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) creates and promotes scientific discovery, advancement of education, and the highest professional and ethical standards for clinicians, educators, and researchers.

Davis Design Partners designed a site built around clearly defined constituencies that facilitated access to information using a variety of Web 2.0 user interface technologies. The result is a much more dense and feature-rich website that is accessible and friendly, while purposefully reinforcing the newly-updated SAEM brand (also completed by DDP). A complete wireframe phase reflected a revamped information architecture (IA), while determining the best user experience (UX) possible. The new site architecture presents a fully responsive website design that adapts to a viewer’s device resolution, providing a comfortable, optimized, and fully accessible user experience. SAEM Annual Meeting and Foundation mini-sites rounded out this complete site refresh, designed with their own unique look-and-feel, while still conforming to overall SAEM brand standards. Content and site functionality is managed through an extensive and robust back-end CMS.
